• GLASS RAILINGS

Point-fixed railings, which are always made of laminated toughened glass, have the advantage of generating more space either on the staircase or on the balcony. The free space is much greater than when the balustrade is mounted in a profile. Stainless steel bodies can be fully inserted by shearing the outer layer of glass. Thus, only small areas of stainless steel with a small diameter can be seen on the front of the glass. There is another type of device that can be applied, with the head protruding through the glass plane. Having the same safety features and the ability to accommodate coplanarity deviations in the concrete, these special devices are also made of stainless steel and look just as spectacular as the tiled version. The railings can be attached to the side of the concrete or directly to the floor with point fixings - in this case the glass is mounted using small stainless steel posts, the fixings have different shapes and can be mounted on a concrete floor with or without masking caps.

Structural glass staircases are in demand as special assemblies that offer a very special feeling to all who use them. The construction of glass staircases and stair treads is a great challenge for fitters and designers due to the fact that vibration and load resistance calculations have to be combined with design tailored to each client's taste. Glass staircases can be used for both private and commercial projects. The staircase is the first volume that furnishes the space of a house and can determine its ambient personality. It is a dynamic, three-dimensional, geometric construction that connects the landings (floors) arranged vertically at different heights. Choosing a staircase design in a dwelling can be a challenge even for specialists due to the large number of designs and finishes. The design of interior staircases in a dwelling is particularly important, as they ultimately play both a functional and aesthetic role and shape the chosen style of furnishing.
